These pictures, painted from memory, for the most part, reflect my interests in activities along the coast of Rhode Island and Southeastern Mass. I am an avid fisherman, hiker and admittedly, a beach bum. I carry a sketchbook and a couple of watercolor sets with me at all times. This enables me to quickly capture a seascape or other type of landscape without thinking about it too much. I attempt to recreate a moment, a fleeting glimpse, a group of bathers gathered along a beach, waves crashing, or a sunset.
